I confess that the joys of autumn can seem dubious when the weather turns gray and soggy but when one stumbles across that vineyard turning 3 bright hues of red, orange and gold, or the mountains become ablaze with the color, it is all worth it.
A warm fire in front of a cozy sofa with a hot chocolate feels well-earned after a long walk in the brisk air. And when the rain does fall, the remaining droplets sparkle like diamonds after the fact making Mother Nature appear dressed in all her jewels.
With the bright "pop" of color in the garden from merry Chrysanthemums
and the knowledge that soon this pumpkin on the vine
will be a wonderful pie, the delights of Autumn bring a sparkle to my eye and warmth to my heart. I wish the same for all my readers.
